Beware of the "PUMP and DUMP"!

Beware of penny stock "Pump and Dump" Scams!

It's unfortunate but true that stock scams are becoming more common by the day. And most of the stock scams involve penny stocks. Fraudulent scammers take advantage of people buy "pumping up" penny stocks of which they already invested a lot of money in. Then as soon as the followers buy the stock, believing all the hype, they sell all their shares. The stock then plummets, usually to a much lower price than what the followers bought the stock at.

These scam artists pump up the stocks in many different ways:

*  FREE Penny Stock email newsletter services - these seem like very legit services - But don't believe them. These FREE services are All Scams!
*  Junk Email - NEVER buy a stock from an email spammer!
*  Penny Stock Forms (stock message boards or bulletin boards) - Don't believe a complete stranger!
*  Direct mail stock promotions - They all sound great. They are well written and can be convincing... But most likely they have just been paid a lot of money by the company to hype their stock. Or the it's the company that is hyping their own stock. PASS on these stocks.

Sure, there are times you may get lucky, buying one of these stocks, and the price keeps moving for a few days. And if you are smart you know not to be greedy and take a quick profit. But most often you'll lose buying stocks from hypesters. usually they don't know much more about the stock then you do. But they are good sellers, and enough people buy in to their scams, making them (not you) a lot of money as they sell off their shares.

Don't worry, you can make make money buying and selling penny stocks. But you need to know what stocks to buy, when to buy them, and when to sell them. It's much easier said then done.
